Doi Mae Salong

From Chiang Rai we drove further north to the very top of Thailand, Doi Mae Salong. It's very high and very pretty. From here we discovered another waterfall to play in, cruised down the river on a raft and soaked in some hot springs.....
I thought I would share what it's like travelling with Emily and Tom. Firstly our very special child, Thomas. We knew he was special as soon as he was born, thus we only have two children. This morning he came down to breakfast wearing ONE thong. When questioned he simply replied that he couldn't find the other one. "OK, how's this going to work Tom", "I'll just keep swapping the thong between my feet when one gets sore!" - righty-oh-then.... When he was kayaking in Nong Khiaw he decided that instead of wearing his life jacket he would place it behind him on the kayak, whilst negotiating the rapids. We then had to negotiate with the owner of the company to replace said life jacket. He lost his joggers somewhere in Laos and has left numerous bits and pieces behind on buses, boats, tuk tuk's etc.... Right now he is assuming that his iPhone is charging in our room, however there is no power when the key isn't placed into it's slot - the key he handed back to me!!!!
Emily never has any clue which country or city we are in, although she has been shown a map many, many times. Today she was ever so excited to see two elephants walk past. She asked if they were really old elephants. When questioned as to why she would think that she replied that they were very 'wrinkly'. So glad we spent money taking her to Taronga and Dubbo Zoos, clearly she paid attention.
