Western Australia, May 08

May 2008 we flew to Perth, hired two campervans and drove 1275km north to Exmouth. Our destination, Ningaloo Reef. Whale sharks migrate through Ningaloo Reef each April through to June.
The very, very, long, straight, nothing to see road.......
Whale Sharking..... We were incredibly fortunate to swim with two sharks, a baby at only 3m and a more mature shark at 8m. We had '5 drops' which meant around 3.5 hours in the water with the sharks. Did I mention that we also saw Manta Rays, a pod of Minki Whales swam by, while we were in the water and to top it of we followed a Blue Whale for about 1/2 hour!!!!!
After departing Exmouth we headed to Coral Bay which was also spectacular.
Next stop 'Shark Bay World Heritage Area'. This is where Monkey Mia is located.
Then onto 'Kalbarri National Park'
The 'Pinnacles'
'Fremantle'
and finally back to Perth......
